What if the true measure of your life isn't what you achieve, but what continues without you?

Almost a year ago, my health took an unexpected turn. My husband and sons rushed me to the emergency room, and I ended up in the ICU. The next day, I spent three hours fully awake on an operating table. I could not move. Life and death sat side by side.

In that quiet room, a question arose: If I die today, what will I regret?

Aside from missing my young sons as they grow, the list was short. I had lived fully.

Then, a new question arrived: If I live, what is the gift?

I realized that everyday life is a gift. Every single breath is a bonus.

When we see life this way, the meaning of impact changes. It is no longer about the goals I can hit by myself.

True impact means opening doors so other people can lead and create their own waves.

This clarity changed my direction. It led to doubling our effort in our Grows Us’s facilitation network. We do exist to help people grow. We also exist to give the gift of opportunity to others. We want them to do the work they love and spark growth that lasts far longer than my own.

I feel deep gratitude for the medical team who kept me alive, and for my family who stood by my bed before and after that operation and who supports me relentlessly until now.

We do not live to build our own name. We live to sow the seeds so others can grow.
