What if the perfect conditions we wait for are actually keeping us from our best work?
For quite some time, a quiet rule lived in my mind: to deliver a great session, a full eight hours of uninterrupted sleep was non-negotiable.
But reality rarely aligns with our rules. With three young sons at home, full nights of uninterrupted rest disappeared years ago. Someone always shows up in our bedroom. Someone always needs something in the middle of the night.
Then came a morning with my co-facilitator, Rads. She stepped off a grueling red-eye flight, walked straight into the training room, and brought one hundred percent of her energy. There was no complaint. There was no observable lag. She stood before the room fully alive, present, and grounded.

Seeing her professionalism inspired me. Rads did not wait for the perfect circumstance to give her best. She managed her life, her energy, and her commitment so that when the curtain went up, she was ready.
Her example taught me a deeper truth about balance and dedication.
True readiness is not a luxury of comfort. It is a choice we make from the inside out.
We do not need a perfect night to give a perfect effort. We just need to commit to the human in front of us.
I feel immense respect and gratitude for Rads. Her standard of excellence pushes me to drop my excuses and step up every single day.
Conditions are rarely perfect. We show up anyway.
